Simple Tooth Extraction

  • A highly skilled procedure that uses powerful anesthesia in order to extract the tooth relatively painlessly.
  • The removal of unrestorable teeth, prophylactic extraction of problematic teeth and elective extraction for orthodontic procedures are all types of simple tooth extractions.
  • Simple tooth extractions are performed by highly skilled professionals in order to minimize pain and discomfort for the patient.

How does a tooth extraction procedure work?

The tooth extraction process typically begins with local anesthesia, numbing the area around the tooth. Once the tooth is numb, the dentist will use an elevator to loosen the tooth from its socket and use forceps to remove it from the mouth. In some cases, a bone graft may be necessary to fill in the empty socket left behind by the extracted tooth.

Outcomes of tooth extraction

Although tooth extractions are often thought of as a last resort, there are many situations in which they can be beneficial
The professionals who perform this service can give you a thorough extraction that most practitioners usually miss.
For instance, the removal of unrestorable teeth prevents the spread of decay and infection, and prophylactic extraction of problematic teeth helps to avoid potential future problems
In addition, elective extraction for orthodontic procedures can improve the aesthetics of your smile.

What Makes This Treatment Special?

One feature that makes it special is that Onyx Dental offers skilled professionals who use powerful anesthesia for tooth extraction This means that you can get the procedure done quickly and with less pain than if you were to go to a traditional dentist. In addition, we do not compromise on hygiene, resulting in fewer complications during or after the treatment.

Who can get this treatment?

Tooth extraction is a procedure that both orthodontists and emergency dentists can perform. Orthodontic patients may require tooth extraction to create space for braces or other dental appliances. Emergency patients may need a tooth extraction for severe tooth decay or trauma

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does pain last after a tooth extraction?

You may feel pressure after having an impacted tooth removed. Or, you may feel pain after having a tooth pulled that requires cutting through the gum tissue. The discomfort usually worsens immediately after the tooth is extracted and gradually subsides as the area heals. In most cases, people feel better within a few days to a week after extraction. However, it can take several weeks for the area to heal completely.

What restrictions do we need to follow after a tooth extraction?

For the first 24 hours, you should avoid rinsing your mouth, spitting, or using a straw, as this can loosen the blood clot at the extraction site. You should also avoid drinking alcohol or smoking for at least 24 hours. Additionally, you should brush and floss gently around the extraction site for the first few days, as the area will be tender.

How long does a tooth extraction take?

Tooth extraction usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. The length of time depends on the tooth being extracted. If the tooth is visible, it may take less time. It may take longer if the tooth is impacted (below the gums).

I have been visiting the clinic for almost a year now. Dr Marwan worked 4 times on my teeth and saved me from 12 years of paid and wrong medical treatments. It is so great to feel human after year of suffering and insecurities. I have also got to be a patient of Dr Mahmoud Akrama 7 times who had worked me my filling, Botox, facial profile and advise and fat burning. Onyx is a complete medical center that service under one hive that patient does not need to move around from clinic to another. They work in a discreet location and rooms. Dr Marwa was also wonderful and I love how she cares about the brands she is using and being informative about what to use and avoid. She made me glow before a wedding people forgot the groom. My next service would be hair transplant, I met the dr and her advise was true to the fact. I have seen her work and it is true to human looks. I am working to move my physiotherapy to Onyx. Nothing is fake or plastic looking at Onyx. All natural preservation of years that life and mr gravity where not kind to. I am extremely happy with my results and excited to see further future results. Thanks Onyx Medical Center.
